Meet the E&M Associates Leadership Team
Founder and CEO
Irving Langer, president and founder of E&M Associates, learned the essentials of buying and selling residential multi-family properties as an employee at Public Realty in Brooklyn. At Public Realty, Mr. Langer quickly discovered his acumen for identifying and purchasing investment properties.
Leibel. Lederman’s first exposure to the real estate industry came in 1973 as a managing agent for a boutique real estate firm in Greenpoint. Mr. Lederman soon learned the intricacies and risks of residential apartment investing. Between 1976 and 1985, Mr. Lederman and several partners purchased over 65 buildings in Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan, totaling 4,000 units. From 1985 to 1989, Mr. Lederman purchased shopping centers and office complexes throughout Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
Aryeh Z. Ginzberg has been in the real estate industry for more than 35 years. His organizational experience includes the management of large portfolios of multi family properties throughout the tri-state area. Mr. Ginzberg has overseen the management and complete rehabbing of several thousand HUD &HPD units that were completely restored to profit-producing portfolios. One such project, a 500 unit housing project in the South Bronx, was completely rebuilt with over $5 million dollars of city and federal funds and achieved the 2004 annual “Project of the Year” from C.P.C.
Meyer Brecher, the Director of Property Management Services for E&M Associates, joined the firm in 1992. Aside from owning a controlling interest in a luxury goods manufacturing outfit, Mr. Brecher had been an active participant in New York City’s active co-op conversion market throughout much of the 1980s.
Scott Katz serves as CFO for E&M Associates. In this position, he is invaluable handling finances for property acquisitions and positioning them for management. Mr. Katz preiously was with Fairmont Capital Funding for a decade. He started there as an analyst and worked his was up through the Brokerage division, ultimately rising to the position of Vice President/Chief Operations Officer for Servicing and Underwriting Commercial Loans and Equity Deals. Mr. Katz is a graduate of Touro College.
